SKEMA chooses the EASYRECRUE language test
for their admissions process

With the admissions process put to a halt during the lockdown, SKEMA Business School chose EASYRECRUE’s language assessment test Easyspeaking to evaluate students’ language proficiency remotely.

Test candidates’ language proficiency remotely as TOEIC sessions get canceled because of the lockdown.

With 8,500 students spread out across 7 campuses on 5 continents, SKEMA is an international business school. Admissions season started a few weeks ago for the Grande Ecole and Master in management programs, but were quickly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

With students, many of which Chinese, applying around the world, SKEMA Business School faced a major problem: how to test candidates’ English level if they cannot travel to test centers (TOEIC)? SKEMA chose the Easyspeaking online language tests, to provide a smooth application process for every student.

Digital tests for an improved student experience

Easyspeaking is a digital language assessment test students can take on desktop or mobile. It is designed to provide a smooth experience for students by allowing them to take their test anytime, anywhere, while providing a reliable and certified CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) assessment. Students and the Admissions office receive a detailed evaluation report and a certificate with their overall score. The data and results (identity verification, approved compliance with test procedures) are protected.

Assessing language skills online with Easyspeaking allows SKEMA to offer the best experience to our students, no matter the campus they choose.

Reliable online language assessments

SKEMA started trialing Easyspeaking in January 2020, in China, enabling students to take a language test despite the COVID-19 measures. Thanks to successful and satisfying results, they extended the use across their campuses for students to continue their admissions process.

Beyond language tests, SKEMA has built a strong partnership with EASYRECRUE to promote English skills throughout the academic path. Starting in September 2020, the SKEMA Grande Ecole program will also use the Easyspeaking test to validate courses and degrees.

“EASYRECRUE is a recognized player in the field of recruitment and the ideal partner when it comes to assessing professional skills. Their approach fits our high expectations.”
