With the admissions process put to a halt during the lockdown, SKEMA Business School chose EASYRECRUE’s language assessment test Easyspeaking to evaluate students’ language proficiency remotely.
How to test candidates' language skills during the quarantine?
It started in January 2020 as admissions season opened for universities and schools around the world.
SKEMA is an international business school with 8,500 students spread out across 7 campuses on 5 continents. When applying to the Grande Ecole or Master in Management programs at SKEMA Business School, students are required to provide an official English assessment certificate (TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, etc.). Processes were quickly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic as entire countries applied quarantine measure and students can no longer travel to test centers.
A crucial question thus arose: how to test candidates’ language proficiency remotely as test sessions get canceled because of the lockdown?
Digital tests for an improved student experience
Easyspeaking is a digital language assessment test students can take on desktop or mobile. It is designed to provide a smooth experience for students by allowing them to take their test anytime, anywhere, while providing a reliable and certified CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) assessment. Students and the Admissions office receive a detailed evaluation report and a certificate with their overall score.
